Hain Celestial Acquires TenderCare International

MELVILLE, N.Y.The Hain Celestial Group completed its purchase of TenderCare International, marketer and distributor of natural diapers and baby wipes under the Tushies® and TenderCare® brand name, for an undisclosed amount. The company noted that under terms of the acquisition, TenderCare shareholders would receive about $0.44 per share in cash for all outstanding shares of TenderCares common stock, after deductions for excess company expenses.TenderCare strengthens our position in the natural and organic sector with the addition of diapers and wipes, while meeting the increasing demand by concerned parents for natural products to care for the babies, said Irwin D. Simon, president and CEO, Hain Celestial. Edward Reiss, former co-CEO, TenderCare, added, Hain Celestial is well-positioned to take TenderCare to its next level of growth, and were excited about the opportunity to expand our natural wipes and chlorine-free diapers to reach more families.
