Hi-Tech Execs Plead Guilty

Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals Inc. executives plead guilty on Aug. 15 in U.S. District Court in Atlanta to conspiracy and fraud charges for illegally selling generic prescription drugs online. In a plea bargain, the Georgia company’s president, vice president, co-founder and a sales associate admitted to making generic versions of drugs such as Xanax, Valium and Zoloft in a manufacturing facility in Belize and then selling them on the Internet without prescriptions.
