BRUSSELS, Belgium—The International Alliance of Dietary/Food Supplement Associations (IADSA) announced two new associations joined the organization, bringing the total number of member associations to 55. The new members are Russia’s Council of Dietary Supplement, Nutrient and Healthy Food Producers (CDSP), which was founded in March 2008 and allies seven companies in the food supplement industry; and the Brazilian Association of Foods for Special Dietary Uses Industry (ABIAD), which covers 31 member companies, 40 percent of which are directly engaged in the food supplement business.

“We are delighted to welcome CDSP and ABIAD into our global network,” said Byron Johnson, chairman, IADSA. “One of the priorities of IADSA is to support existing associations and help create new associations across the globe. Together we will continue to work towards building an international platform for debate, and a sound legislative and political environment for the development of dietary supplement markets worldwide.”
