IANPP Develops Natural Definition

NEDERLAND, Colo.TheInternational Association of Natural Product Producers (IANPP) developed draftdefinitions for natural topical and ingestible ingredients. The draft is availableonline (www.ianpp.org), and industry members and the general public are invitedto review the proposal and submit comments. According to the organization, thegoal is to develop specific criteria agreed upon by industry covering the use ofthe word natural in product positioning, labeling and marketing. The group isnow working to develop a glossary of non-natural ingredients used infinished products, and is investigating the possibility of developing acertification system.
