JERSEY CITY, N.J.--Importers Service Corp. signed a definitive,multi-year agreement with the state of Jigawa, Nigeria, to purchase the state'sentire production of gum acacia. In a recent signing ceremony, ChristopherBerliner, vice president and general manager of Importers Service Corp., andAlhaji Hanza Tarabu, managing director of the Gum Arabic Company Ltd.,formalized the agreement. Under terms of the agreement, Importers Service Corp.gains a raw material source and the Jigawa Gum Arabic cultivation and processingprogram is guaranteed an outlet for its production, according to a press releasefrom Importers Service Corp.
