MANSFIELD, Ohio--Kerry Group, an ingredients, flavors and consumer-foods company, acquired AromontS.A., headquartered in Montcornet, France, and Mansfield, Ohio-based Stearns & Lehman Inc. Kerry (www.kerrygroup.com) acquired both for a total consideration of about $50 million. Stearns & Lehman is a manufacturer of coffeehouse syrups and other beverage flavorings and toppings. AromontS.A. produces natural culinary ingredients and liquid sauces for the European ready meals and foodservice industries. "Complementing the recent acquisition of Voyager Foods in the U.K., the addition of Aromont is a further significant step in Kerry's strategy to develop a leading position in the culinary ingredients sector throughout European markets," said HughFriel, managing director.
