LycoRed Acquires BSN (U.S.)

FAIRFIELD, N.J.LycoRed Corp.acquired the assets and business of Buckton Scott Nutrition (BSN), the U.S.subsidiary of the Buckton Scott Group. The acquisition expands the nutritionalingredient presence of the Beer-Sheva, Israel-based LycoRed Group, a subsidiaryof Makhteshim Agan Industries Ltd. LycoRed Corp. will reorganize its U.S. salesand marketing team, operating out of New Jersey, with Buckton Scott employeesincluding Leo Cullen, Chris Nolte and William Redwood staying on board as BSN isintegrated into the LycoRed organization.

The dietary supplement and health food industries in theUnited States are looking for one-stop-shop opportunities for value-addedingredients, said Morris Zelkha, president and chief executive officer (CEO)of the LycoRed Group (www.lycored.com). The expanded LycoRed Group operationin the United States will provide a complete service package, including a widerproduct range and the analytical and formulation capabilities of the LycoRed.This acquisition is one of LycoReds several strategic steps aimed atincreasing our capabilities in the United States and abroad.
