Modified Citrus Pectin May Improve Heavy Metal Removal

SANTA ROSA, Calif.--Results from several human case studieshave shown Pecta-Sol modified citrus pectin removes heavy metals from the bodythrough urination, according to EcoNugenics Inc., which manufactures theingredient. A study of seven subjects showed a 50-percent increase in mercuryremoval and a 130-percent increase in cadmium removal with modified citruspectin supplementation. In addition, a 10-month case study showed Pecta-Soldecreased mercury, lead and arsenic levels in the body.
