NAFFS Presents 2nd Annual Scholarship Awards to Rutgers Food Science Students

NEPTUNE, NJOn July 13, Bob Bauer, executive director, and Al Roth, East Coast scholarship chair, the National Association of Flavors and Food-Ingredient Systems (NAFFS) presented the second annual scholarship awards to two deserving students in the Rutgers University Food Science Program. Mukund Karwe, Ph.D., professor of food engineering, and Richard Ludescher, Ph.D., professor of food science, were also on hand to congratulate the students.
The awards were presented to Gabriella Gloria Chiappe, an M.S. student with a 4.0 GPA, and Jennifer Eng, a B.S. student with a 3.4 GPA.
NAFFS West Coast Scholarship Chair Patrick Imburgia will be presenting NAFFS 2nd annual scholarship award in early September to its West Coast winning student, Margaret Ward, an M.S. student in food science at Chapman University.
NAFFS extends its sincere congratulations to the outstanding students and thanks the many member companies who have generously supported this effort.
