Natrol Announces Personnel Changes

CHATSWORTH, Calif.--Natrol Inc. announced a series ofpromotions, a million-plus dollar investment in new SAP computer software, and arealignment of sales, marketing, operations and finance personnel to repositionthe company. Gary DeMello, formerly Natrol's vice president of operations, isfilling the newly created position of chief operating officer. Michael Surmeian,Natrol's director of sales administration, is now vice president of sales. OtherNatrol (www.natrol.com) promotions include:Richard Hunnewell, director of planning, purchasing and inventory control; KurtKirkland, director of warehouse and plant operations; Lynn Schrempf, controller;Christina Bodnar, assistant controller; Gayle Kelly, office manager; GinaFerrato, senior manager of sales and marketing services; and Ellen Driscoll,senior manager of food, drug and mass services.

On the Prolab Nutrition side, Jon Denis, former vice president of sales forNatrol, is now president of Prolab. Other recent hires include: Scott Cardwell,director of national accounts; Michael McCaskey, director of nationaldistribution; and Chris Scinto, director of product and brand development.
