New Website for Boomer Injuries

CHICAGO--According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Baby Boomersreported one million sports-related injuries in 1998. "Growing numbers of Boomers aresaying no to aging by engaging in recreational sports activities," said Dr. RonaldKlatz, president of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M). "That's a muchbetter state than being old, slow and fat--and thereby more susceptible to injuries anddiseases."

The CPSC predicts that another million Baby Boomers will experience sports injuries in2000. A4M, a non-profit organization, wants to promote awareness of prevention andtreatment to Boomers. A4M has set up www.worldhealth.net,which includes a medical radio program, a discussion board and a resource to find aconvenient doctor.
