Nielsen-Massey Vanillas Receives Sofi Gold Award

WAUKEGAN, Ill.For the second time, Nielsen-Massey Vanillas received a sofi Gold Award from the National Association for the Specialty Food Trade, Inc. Nielsen-Masseys Madagascar Bourbon Pure Vanilla Bean Paste was chosen on-site at the 57th annual Summer Fancy Food Show as the winner in the Baked Goods, Baking Ingredient, or Cereal category.

The sofi Awards recognize excellence in specialty foods and beverages in 33 categories and are a coveted industry honor. The awards are open to members of the NASFT, a not-for-profit trade association established in 1952 with more than 3,000 members throughout the U.S. and abroad. Sofi" stands for Specialty Outstanding Food Innovation.

To create the award-winning product, Nielsen-Massey Madagascar Bourbon Pure Vanilla Bean Paste is made with the companys Madagascar Bourbon Pure Vanilla Extract combined with seeds from the vanilla pod in a slightly viscous base. The vanilla bean paste is a 1:1 replacement for pure vanilla extract, and can also replace whole vanilla beans in formulations. It is allergen-free, certified kosher and gluten-free.
