WASHINGTONThe Natural Products Association MarketPlace tradeshow will not be held in June 2013 as planned, according to an announcement made by the Natural Products Association (NPA) and New Hope Natural Media, which collaborated on the Las Vegas show. "The decision to suspend this event will allow for delivery of new opportunities more strategically aligned with todays market needs," said an NPA  press release.

While it is unfortunate the show wont go on, we understand the business reasons behind it," said John Shaw, executive director and CEO, NPA. "NPA has always sought to connect retailers and suppliers in the marketplace. We are committed to this goal and our work with New Hope to achieve it. NPA looks forward to new developments within this relationship in 2013 and beyond." New Hope Natural Media and NPA said they will launch new programs and initiatives in the near future.

Fred Linder, President, New Hope Natural Media, said the company will develop its partnership with NPA in other areas to "create new opportunities for the natural products industry, surrounding our trade shows." New Hope hosts Natural Products Expo West and Natural Products Expo East, tradeshows that connect retailers to natural product company.
