SAN LEANDRO, Calif.--Gil Pritchard, who has served as president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Barbara's Bakery for more than 15 years, has been named president and CEO of nSpired Natural Foods, effective June 11. "Much like Barbara's Bakery, nSpired has some very good products that they've assembled in the last year and a half," Pritchard said. "Because of Eric Zitelli's vision and a really strong management and support staff, I am very excited to get involved with the group and help everyone reach their full potential." Pritchard added that Barbara's Bakery had not yet named his replacement.

Zitelli, the founder and president of nSpired, will serve on the Board of Directors and assist the company in developing its long-term strategy and in identifying future acquisitions. "We don't foresee that these changes are going to change the company structure itself and the way we've dealt with business in the past," said Tom Miner, vice president of operations for nSpired. Larry Chamberlin, chairman of the board and managing member of Columbia Naples Capital, added, "Eric was responsible for taking nSpired Natural Foods from a concept to a profitable and rapidly growing company with products that are leaders in virtually every category in which the company competes. Through his hard work and leadership, nSpired Natural Foods successfully integrated seven acquisitions in less than two years. We look forward to Eric's continued association with nSpired Natural Foods and to pursuing the vision that he established for this company."
