Nutella Recipe Contest Winners

SOMERSET, N.J.Ferrero, maker of Nutella®, announced the three winning professional chefs of its "Wake Up Breakfast With Nutella" recipe contest, including the grand prize winner, Chef Jon Stokes, Culinary Academy of Las Vegas, who won a $3,000 prize for his Nutella-filled Streusel Baked Mini Coffee Cakes recipe.
Chef Michael Watz, Washburne Culinary Institute, was the 1st prize winner, earning $2,000 for his Nutella Breakfast Berry Crostini recipe. The 2nd prize winner, Chef Rick Browne, Sportman's Bar & Grill, won $1,000 for his Nutella-Bacon-Banana Waffle Sandwich.
The contest encouraged foodservice chefs to submit a breakfast or morning snack using Nutella. Requirements included a dish containing a minimum of 8 ounces of Nutella, being 100% original and providing a detailed recipe with a list of ingredients and step-by-step instructions. Winning recipes, product information, distributor locator and menu ideas are available on Nutella's foodservice site.
