FERNDALE, Wash.—NUTRA Inc., a subsidiary of Nutraceutical Corp. (NASDAQ:NUTR), purchased numerous natural products brands from Botanical Laboratories Inc. (BLI), including Zand®, bioAllers®, NaturBio® and Herbs for Kids®, for an undisclosed amount.

“The sale of our natural brands allows BLI the flexibility to focus marketing resources on new categories within the Food, Drug and Mass channels as well as to pursue opportunities in the direct-to-consumer and the Internet,” said Jim Thornton, chief executive officer (CEO) and board member of BLI ( www.botlab.com). The company will also continue to offer its expertise in homeopathy and herbal categories through its private-label manufacturing division. The private label division will also continue to manufacture the sold brands.
