EL DORADO HILLS, Calif.—

NutraCea announced it is relocating its corporate headquarters to Phoenix in January 2007. The new office spaces, formerly occupied by Qwest Communications, will accommodate current staff and provide room for expansion; manufacturing and warehousing facilities will remain in Sacramento, Calif.

“From an operational standpoint, this move represents the final step in the integration of the RiceX/NutraCea merger,” said Brad Edson, president and chief executive officer (CEO). “We chose Phoenix because of its strategic location, easy accessibility to an international airport, and a highly-educated labor pool.”
