OCP Team Expands to Meet Chocolate Demand

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--Organic Commodity Products (OCP) added three new employees to meet the increasing demand for organic chocolate and cocoa products, according to president and chief executive officer Joe Whinney. David Barash was hired to serve as chief operating officer. Barash, as principal of C.O.O.-To-Go, has experience developing and instituting operational and organizational systems with early stage, high-growth companies. Jim La Rosa was appointed as vice president of sales. La Rosa has 25 years of food ingredient experience, most recently with Ghirardelli as vice president of the specialty ingredients/food service division. Finally, Joseph McWeeney was hired as operations and sales manager. McWeeney brings 20 years of experience at Merckens Chocolate as engineering, environmental and production manager to OCP.
