KEARNY, N.J.Pharmachem Laboratories Inc., acquired Powder Processors Inc.,a manufacturer of a wide range of nutritional ingredient powders including tablets and capsule-ready blends.

"Our purchase of Powder Processors complements our overall business in particle engineering, now with an even stronger presence supporting the western U.S. and Canada," said David Holmes, CEO and founder of Pharmachem. "This acquisition along with Pharmachem's already strong presence in Utah, with liquids and personal care manufacturing, continues to demonstrate Pharmachem's commitment to Utah and its customer base worldwide."

Pharmachem will immediately operate both this newly acquired entity and its liquid and personal care manufacturing facilities under the Pharmachem Laboratories name.

"Pharmachem is currently in the process of installing new capabilities in Utah including powder filling into unit containers such as jars and bottles, and soft containers such as bag, pouch and gusset," Holmes said.

According to Pharmachem, Lynn Dahle, former owner of Powder Processors, will serve as vice president to ensure the future success of the newly acquired entity.

Pharmachem recently acquired Florida Food Product's aloe vera business that includes the ALOE CON product line.
