Pharmessen Scientific Opens Liaison Office in Germany, SelectsCentral American Distributor

SAN DIEGOPharmessen ScientificInc. (AMEX:PASC) entered into an agreement with Pharmacorp Internationale S.A.for the distribution of Pharmessens products in Central America. While theterms of the agreement were not released, the agreement is estimated torepresent more than $1 million in revenue over the next two years.

We are delighted to have a partner as prestigious andqualified as Pharmacorp as we look to accelerate Pharmessens growth inCentral America, said George Macleod, chief executive officer of Pharmessen.

Pharmacorp is a recognized name in Central America andPharmessens association with the company should greatly burnish ourreputation as well.

In addition to Central America, Pharmessen recently expandedinto Japan and anticipates expansion into Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

In other company news, Pharmessen recently opened a liaisonoffice in Hamburg, Germany. The new office will be managed by Manfred Stein,D.V.M., M.Sc., Ph.D., an expert on diet and dietary supplements, who will serveas the director of research and development.
