The Research Chefs Association (RCA) is pleased to announce its collaboration with the Journal of Culinary Science & Technology in compiling a special issue dedicated to Culinology® research to be published in the summer of 2008. This issue will feature peer-reviewed, empirical and conceptual manuscripts focused on the blending of culinary arts and food science and technology, with practical insights into the application of Culinology.

RCA members can submit their original manuscript for consideration of publication in this first-ever special issue dedicated to Culinology research. For consideration, e-mail a one-page abstract of Culinology research to Tim Kline ([email protected]) by Oct. 8. At least one of the authors must be a member of RCA, and abstracts must include the following information:

Justification;
Objectives;
Methods;
Results;
Significance to the Culinology field.

Abstracts will be reviewed by a designated peer review committee, and finalists for paper submission will be contacted by Oct. 26, with papers due by Dec. 15. Papers may describe completed research and results, or research in progress with expected results to be completed by Jan. 31, 2008. Authors will present papers at the 2008 RCA Annual Conference & Culinology Expo on March 5 to 8, 2008 in Seattle. For more information on how to prepare manuscripts for publication, please consult the Instructions for Authors in the Journal Information column on the Journal of Culinary Science & Technology website
