RFI, Nat-Trop Merge

BLAUVELT, N.Y.--RFI Ingredients acquired Nat-Tropin San Leandro, Calif.; RFI will take over all operations of Nat-Trop, whichwill become a brand name under the RFI portfolio. Nat-Trop's product lineincludes branded ingredients such as Chocamine and Sumax Brazilianginseng, as well as other South American botanicals.

"The merger with Nat-Trop provides us with valuableexperience and high quality product lines in the South American market, roundingout our product offerings and building on existing capabilities in China, Europeand North America to allow us to offer true global sourcing," said JeffWuagneux, RFI's chief executive officer.

Paul Altaffer, president of Nat-Trop, will remain with RFI tohead up South American sourcing and new product development. Nat-Trop customerscan now call RFI at (800) 962-7663 for sales and customer service.
