BLAUVELT, N.Y.—RFI Ingredients completed a successful audit of its contract and internal manufacturing facility by NSF International’s GMP (good manufacturing practices) registration program. This voluntary, independent, third-party plant audit verifies the facility’s conformance to current dietary supplement GMPs.

To ensure continued performance, NSF will conduct periodic audits at RFI’s facility. For meeting GMP requirements, RFI receives a NSF GMP registration certificate and is listed on the NSF Web site. GMPs for the current NSF Dietary Supplements Program are included in NSF American National Standard 173-Dietary Supplements, the only American National Standard for dietary supplements, and are consistent with the requirements that FDA has laid out in 21 CFR § 111.

“In the six months since our facility has been operational, we have received kosher/halal certification, NOP Organic Certification and now NSF GMP certification,” said Jeff Wuagneux, RFI’s president and CEO. "NSF GMP certification confirms RFI’s continued commitment to quality and satisfaction and provides our customers confidence that our manufacturing facility is meeting established dietary supplement GMPs.”
