Sabinsa Opens European Office

PISCATAWAY, N.J.—Sabinsa Corp. extended its European presence by opening a new office, Sabinsa Europe GmbH, in Langen, Germany. Lutz Weise, Ph.D., will serve as the resident director of the new operation, with Simon Rexin as business development manager. Kavita Subramanian, senior manager of international business development at Sabinsa’s office in New Jersey will serve as corporate liaison to the European operation.

“Sabinsa has had a broad presence in Europe for over a decade, but it became evident that due to the increasingly tight regulatory environment in the European Union, we could better serve our agents and significantly grow our customer base by establishing our own office and distribution center for our ingredients,” said Todd Norton, president of Sabinsa (www.sabinsa.com). “Germany offered the ideal place to set up our operations due to its central location in Europe and rich heritage in botanical ingredients.”
