Siberian Ginseng Extract Linked to Deaths in China

BEIJING—The Chinese FDA is warning consumers not to take Siberian ginseng manufactured by Wandashan Pharmaceutical, after it linked herbal injections of the Chinese herb to three serious illness and three deaths. According to reports, the company has recalled the suspect batches of the botanical extract and FDA expects the problem is limited to the Wandashan preparation.
