Stonyfield Purchases Brown Cow West

LONDONDERRY, N.H.--Stonyfield Farm announced Feb.13 the purchase of Antioch, Calif.-based Brown Cow West Corp. The acquisitionoffers synergies to each brand, according to a press release from StonyfieldFarm (www.stonyfield.com). Stonyfieldwill now establish Western family farmer agreements and begin processing organicyogurts in California for its Western customers, while the Brown Cow brand willbenefit from Stonyfield's East Coast base, as well as its sales, marketing,operations and management resources. Combined 2003 revenues are projected to beapproximately $130 million, according to Stonyfield.
