Supercritical Fluid Extraction Available From POS

SASKATOON, SaskatchewanPOS Pilot Plant Corp. announced it now has the capability to conduct supercritical fluid extraction (SFE) work on a contract basis. SFE uses carbon dioxide under high pressure to extract components, and offers clients the ability to recycle processing materials. POS also has contract research and development capabilities for developing components for nutraceuticals, functional foods and more. Its in-between scale equipment allows companies to produce smaller runs and accelerate product development, because operating procedures and parameters are closer to industrial practices.
