Takasago Dedicates Renovated Sensory Facilities As Part of Major Rockleigh Expansion

ROCKLEIGH, NJBrian Buck, vice president and general manager, Takasago International Corp. (USA) Flavor Division, announced that Takasago Flavors has completed the renovation of their newly designed Sensory facilities, celebrating its opening at ceremonies attended by Hiroki Take, President and Chief Operating Officer, Takasago International Corp.; Haruo Nakanishi, Senor Vice President and General Manager of the Flavor Division, Takasago International Corp.; and Dr. Sean Traynor, President of Takasago International Corp. (USA).

Take addressed the group by saying: As you can see, the investment in this facility demonstrates Takasagos commitment toward consumer-guided creativity, and toward the goal of having the most innovative food and beverage products to present to our customers. These modern facilities will allow Takasago to be a preeminent flavor company in the North American market.

Buck, who presided over the ceremonies, explained that the new Sensory Center facilities are conducive to a greater collaboration between professionals and consumers who participate in focus groups and testing. Buck said: We have doubled the testing booths for use in both in-house and consumer testing, going from six to twelve booths. Our new Sensory facilities feature a separate entrance so that participants can be easily brought into the appropriate area.

He added: The newly designed sensory area is vital, representing an innovative way for us to draw on consumer creativity. Its designed to guide internal and external panelists in exploring and resolving the best flavors for specific applications. We are enthusiastic that our continued growth in improved facilities as well as the addition of top-notch professionals are demonstrating how Takasago is in a unique position to give our customers exemplary flavor products that are supported by the expertise of a committed flavor team.
