RICHMOND, British ColumbiaUniChem Enterprises Inc. announced it donated $10,000 to the Red Cross to help support ongoing relief efforts in China after the devastating earthquake that hit the Sichuan province. According to UniChem’s Tony Hwang, the company imports some ingredients from the area and some of its suppliers suffered significant damage to their production facilities and employees lost relatives and friends. UniChem will be sending direct financial relief to its supplier partners as well.

Hwang added, “As most of our suppliers in this industry are from China, especially botanical extract products, we hope the entire industry can give China the help as much as we can. We are praying for all Chinese who lost their lives, relatives and friends.”
