NEW YORK--Todd Weintraub, formerly corporate controller, was promoted toserve as vice president, treasurer and chief financial officer of United NaturalFoods (www.unfi.com). In another restructuringmove, United Natural Foods appointed Kevin Michel to serve as the president ofthe company's Western region, which was previously the job of Michael Funk, thecompany's chief executive officer. The restructuring of these positions willallow the company to focus on its management. Weintraub will now be responsiblefor finance, accounting and planning functions, and he will report to Funk.

In related news, Dan Atwood was hired for the newly created job of nationalvice president of marketing. Atwood will work on initiatives to expand sales.Bud Mayberry is the new president of United Natural Food's Natural Retail Group,where he will oversee operations.
