USANA Sales Network Grows in Most Markets

SALT LAKE CITYUSANA HealthSciences Inc. (NASDAQ:USNA) posted its 12th consecutive quarter of recordsales, primarily driven by a 20-percent increase in the number of activeassociates and double-digit sales growth in all but one of its 12 internationalmarkets. Second quarter net sales expanded to a record $82 million, 22 percenthigher than the $67.2 million sold the year prior. As a result, operatingprofits rose 31.3 percent, while net profit climbed 28.7 percent to $9.5 millionor $0.48 per share from $7.4 million or $0.36 per share earned a year ago.

Of its international markets, management reported Mexicoachieved particularly strong results, with sales gain in that region hitting 76percent and associate growth reaching 80 percent, compared to the same quarterin 2004. Similarly, Taiwan and Singapore both posted revenue growth of 38percent and associate growth of 20 percent.

Fuller noted he expects revenues in third quarter, typicallythe companys slowest period, will also reach $82 million to $84 million, a22-percent increase year-over-year. He also expects earnings per share (EPS) tohover around $0.47 to $0.49, as the company initiates additional associateincentives.
