USP Adds Dietary Standards Education Program

ROCKVILLE, Md.--The U.S. Pharmacopeia (USP) launched a USP DietaryStandards Professional Education Program for health professionals, colleges andtrade organizations. The program discusses the quality, safety and efficacy ofdietary supplements. The first set of presentations will be offered nationwideto pharmacists with the goal of teaching criteria that can help consumers makequality choices in dietary supplements, as well as explaining USP's dietarysupplement verification program.
