Vanson, HaloSource Merge

REDMOND, Wash.--Vanson Inc. and HaloSource Corp.merged to form Vanson HaloSource (www.vanson.com).Manufacturing will be handled at Vanson's facilities in Raymond, Wash., thoughthe company noted it does not expect an immediate impact on staffing there or atthe headquarters in Redmond.

Vanson primarily offers chitin and chitosan, while HaloSourcefocuses on N-halamine technology using chlorine as an antimicrobial agent."The combination of our technology platforms will bring incrediblesynergies to a wide range of markets," said Jeff Williams, chief technologyofficer for the new company and founder of HaloSource.
