PHOENIXVirgo Publishing announced the Web site CulinologyOnline.com, developed with the Research Chefs Association (RCA), will go live today as the official online home of CULINOLOGY magazine. As the online counterpart to the magazine, the site will offer news, editorial, education opportunities and additional content designed and aimed at professionals in the food community interested in the discipline of Culinology, the blending of traditional culinary arts and traditional food science practices.

“For several years Virgo has been publishing CULINOLOGY magazine for the RCA so taking this great concept and content online was a natural extension of our partnership,” said Peggy Jackson, director of publishing for Virgo Publishing’s Health & Nutrition Division.

CULINOLOGY magazine reaches more than 16,000 R&D professionals, corporate management and educators at foodservice and retail food manufacturers, top chain restaurants and foodservice independents, flavor and ingredient manufacturers, and food science and culinary schools. Published quarterly, each issue includes “real world” examples of applications of the discipline of Culinology, major food industry issues from the Culinology perspective and the associated opportunities, RCA member profiles, transforming “from scratch” recipes into successful commercial formulas, trends and product introductions, and much more.

“We’re excited to offer a dynamic site that complements the print magazine. It’s a plus for RCA members, for CULINOLOGY readers, and for the food product development industry,” said Jim Fowler, CAE, executive vice president for the RCA.
