TUSTIN, Calif.—Vita-Tech International Inc. has added new capabilities in the areas of regulatory compliance, quality assurance and manufacturing processes. “We have focused on a commitment to exceed current regulatory requirements and to provide an outstanding manufacturing experience for our U.S. and global customers,” said Thomas T. Tierney, president and CEO. Tierney said the company has added over 15,000 square feet of space for new technologies to provide rapid turnaround and has re-engineered for optimal global growth and customer service.

Vita-Tech’s new facilities include an ultra-modern laboratory for analytical testing, a regulatory affairs office and a secure center for cGMP (current good manufacturing practices) document control. The company has also added new personnel in quality assurance/quality control and expanded its research and development capacity. A new training room offers personnel ongoing education in mandated quality, safety and standard operating procedures.

Added equipment for heavy metals testing, powder compression and large-volume continuous coating will provide faster turnaround time and greater cost efficiency for clients, according to Tierney. He said the company also possesses a proprietary process for applying an enteric coating to soft elastic capsules and new expertise for flavor technology in powdered drinks.
