MOMENCE, Ill.—VitaBerry® Tropical, a high ORAC superfruit blend, was found in an in vitro study to activate the enzyme Quinone Reductase (QR). High QR levels are associated with improved cell protection and resistance against oxidative stress. According to researchers, VitaBerry stimulated QR up to 316 prcent at a concentration of 0.027 percent. The study was conducted at FutureCeuticals Inc. laboratories.
VitaBerry® Tropical is a proprietary superfruit blend that combines acai, mangosteen, acerola, camu camu and whole coffee concentrate.
"Superfruits have recently gained popularity as they are touted for their powerful antioxidant properties as well as their exotic, rainforest-like origins. However, with many antioxidant choices on the market, consumers are also looking for proof that antioxidant products are truly beneficial. FutureCeuticals has demonstrated the superfruits used in VitaBerry Tropical are both bioavailable and bioactive by their impact on the blood enzyme QR," stated Colleen Zammer, director of sales at FutureCeuticals.
By investigating the activity of VitaBerry Tropical, the company hopes to provide a differentiated and proven effective superfruit product for the antioxidant sector.
