Whole Foods Market Earns Accolade from Business Ethics

AUSTIN, Texas--Whole Foods Market has again earned a place among the "100 Best Corporate Citizens," a list put out by Minneapolis-based Business Ethics magazine. The best corporate citizens earned their place on the second annual list by being the country's most profitable and socially responsible public companies. Whole Foods ranked 46 this year, which the company attributed to its stance on environmental issues, including promoting sustainable agriculture and organic farming. Last year, Whole Foods ranked 19. Regardless of the drop in rank, Whole Foods was the only natural products company on this year's list.
The story appears in the March/April issue of Business Ethics, which is available online atwww.Business-Ethics.com. Whole Foods is online atwww.wholefoodsmarket.com
