Wis. Provides Tax Credits to Main Street Ingredients

MADISON, Wis.Gov. Jim Doyle announced $169,000 in Community Development Zone tax credits for Main Street Ingredients LLC. "Manufacturing is at the heart of Wisconsins economy," Doyle said. "Projects like this that upgrade our manufacturers and create good, family-supporting jobs for the community."Main Street Ingredients is a La Crosse-based distributor and manufacturer of functional ingredients for the dairy, food and nutrition industries. Construction has been completed on a 22,000-sq.-ft. addition. Also, a high-end process and packaging line has been installed to increase production capacity and to handle the volume of new business. The total project cost is $2.8 million and will create 51 jobs in the area. The La Crosse community and the State of Wisconsin have created a favorable climate for us to grow our business, said Dave Clark, CEO, Main Street Ingredients (MainStreetIngredients.com).
