Yohimbe Given Thumbs Up

LANSDALE, Pa.--Biovalidity, an independent, for-profit organization that researches and evaluates studies on current nutritional benefit claims, gave the sex herb yohimbe a "Strongest Science" research rating. This rating was based on 20 out of 23 studies that showed the herb helped men achieve erectile function. However, the company did find that yohimbe may cause hypertension, panic attacks and manic-like symptoms in bi-polar persons. It may also interfere with prescription drug uptake. Biovalidity (www.biovalidity.com) has reviewed various nutrients to create more than 800 benefit statements, approximately 250 of which are used for nutritional supplements.
