ST. LOUIS—ZeaVision LLC announced its third licensing agreement in three years, giving Kalsec Inc., Kalamazoo, Mich., a patent license to sell bulk zeaxanthin to the dietary supplement and food industries, and providing branded marketers using Kalsec’s ZeaGold™ to promote products with dosages up to 4 mg of zeaxanthin. In addition, ZeaVision (www.zeavision.com) completed a private round of financing that added $2 million of capital from local private investors. The funding, together with licensing fees and ongoing revenue, will support the company’s business initiatives toward the eye care professional line, including the launch of a line of ophthalmic supplements.
