Zuellig Forms New Business Group
LONG BEACH, Calif.The ZuelligGroup formed a new global nutritional organization, ZGNI, to providevalue-added, premium ingredients primarily manufactured and sourced in thecountry of origin. ZGNI is also aiming to become a leading marketer of Westernand traditional nutritional products in Asia; it just opened sourcing offices inChina and is finalizing plans to enhance steam sterilization capacity and herbalpowder manufacturing in China.
According to David Turner, the newly-appointed chairman ofZGNI, the company is in the process of expanding its management team andfinalizing several strategic initiatives. Among the personnel appointments areMichael Li as director of new product development and Paul Dijkstra as vicepresident of corporate development.
