Calcium, Vitamin D May Treat PCO

NEW YORK--Researchers at Columbia University have found a method of treating polycysticovarian syndrome (PCO) with calcium alone, vitamin D alone or the combination of calciumand vitamin D. This invention also may provide a method in treating infertility, irregularmenses, acne and insulin resistance. This method is comprised of administering acombination of vitamin D or a derivative thereof and calcium or a derivative thereof in anamount effective to prevent the onset of polycystic ovarian syndrome.
