Glucona Announces CalciumD-Glucarate Agreements

JANESVILLE, Wis.--Glucona America Inc. announced that Carlstadt, N.J.-based Marcor Development Corp. has voluntarily agreed to discontinue selling calciumD-saccharate in the United States. The ingredient is also known as Calcium D-glucarate, which is patented byGlucona.
Glucona and Nutraceutix Inc., its largest licensed distributor, have licensed the use of CalciumD-glucarate to more than 50 companies, including Country Life and Rexall. Its most recent licensing agreement was reached with General Nutrition Centers(GNC) to market the ingredient through GNC dietary supplements.
