N. BERGEN, N.J.—Frutarom Industries Ltd., Haifa, Israel, acquired Raychan Food Industries Ltd., an Israeli company that develops, produces and markets flavor compounds and other food ingredients. “Like some of our other acquisitions, Raychan’s resources complement segments of the marketplace where Frutarom is aggressively pursuing a strong presence,” said William Ludlum, president, Frutarom USA (www.Frutarom.com). “Raychan’s strengths in savory and functional products that provide product development solutions are enhancing the growing competencies of our flavor division.” Ludlum added the acquisition will help Frutarom meet growing global demand for convenience foods and other savory products.
