ORLEANS, Mass.I.BioCeuticals and the International Nutrition Co. (INC) announced plans to celebrate Sixty Years of ScienceMASQUELIERS® OPCs at SupplySide West in Las Vegas. INC and I.BioCeuticals, the worldwide and North American suppliers of the MASQUELIER OPCs and French maritime pine bark extract (Flavan®), will host a special tribute at their SupplySide West booth, #18011, on Thursday, Oct. 23, at 3 p.m.

In its announcement of the event, I.BioCeuticals and INC noted Jack Masquelier, Ph.D., published his doctorate thesis upon the discovery of oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPCs) in July 1948; he also filed the first method-for-extraction French patent in 1948, and from this earliest work came the first French medicines based on OPCs. Dr. Masquelier worked to isolate, identify and uncover therapeutic applications for OPCs, including vasoprotective effects and collagen renewal. In 1985, Dr. Masquelier discovered that OPCs neutralize free radicals and are unique in their ability to remain stable and work in both aqueous and lipid phase to provide superior antioxidant support.
