BALTIMORE--Virgo Publishing announced Mary Matalin, former assistant to President George W. Bush and counselor to Vice President Dick Cheney (2001 - 2003) will join her husband, James Carville, political consultant and co-host of CNNs Crossfire, to deliver the keynote address at SupplySide East, May 6 at the Baltimore Convention Center. The keynote address is co-sponsored by Unigen Pharmaceuticals Inc. (www.unigenpharma.com), and Natural Products Industry INSIDER and HSR: Health Supplement Retailer magazines.

Carville and Matalin will discuss todays political issues and current events in Washington. Their discourse is highlighted by the quick-witted repartee for which they are both renowned. Co-authors of the national best-seller All's Fair: Love, War and Running for President, both Matalin and Carville have been key players on the national political stage for over two decades and offer unmatched insight on the political scene.

"We think James Carville and Mary Matalin will provide one of the most entertaining and provocative keynotes we've had at SupplySide," said Jon Benninger, director of business development at Virgo Publishing. "Their insight will be particularly timely just six months before the election."

Matalins straight talking, no-nonsense approach has made her a top Republican strategist and a highly visible political commentator. Having served concurrently as counselor to the vice president and assistant to the president, she understands the issues that matter most to the United States. Matalin first gained national prominence while serving as President George Bushs campaign manager in 1992. She has also made frequent television appearances as a political commentator and served as co-host of CNNs Crossfire and CNBCs Equal Time.

Known for his shoot-from-the-hip style, Carville is one of the worlds most insightful and entertaining political analysts. The Ragin Cajun squares off against his conservative counterparts as co-host of CNNs Crossfire. Largely responsible for President Clintons White House victory in 1992, he became a household name with the release of the Academy Award-nominated documentary The War Room, a behind-the-scenes look at the campaign.

"Virgo is delighted James Carville and Mary Matalin will jointly deliver the SupplySide East keynote address," said Peggy Jackson, director of publishing for Virgo's Health & Nutrition division. "Together, they will certainly lend their individual perspectives on today's fascinating political landscape in an overall balanced presentation."

SupplySide East will take place May 5 to 7, 2004, at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore. Information is available at www.supplysideshow.com or by calling Virgo Publishing at (480) 990-1101.
