WESTWOOD, N.J.--Scientists and industry members gathered at the second annual Excipient Fest, held in Puerto Rico on April 17. Among the topics discussed were basic ingredients/methods in tablet manufacturing, tablet compaction, microcrystalline cellulose and powder technology. Mutchler selected Puerto Rico because of the high concentration of pharmaceutical manufacturing, accounting for almost 25 percent of all prescription drugs worldwide.
