About our speaker:
Janice M.W. Rueda, Ph.D., Vice President, Nutrition Science Business Development, ADM
Dr. Janice Rueda is Vice President, Nutrition Science Business Development at Archer Daniels Midland (ADM). In her current role, Dr. Rueda develops new scientific and business collaborations through strategic engagement in the global nutrition space. She also works with colleagues in government and academia around the world to develop research and policy initiatives aimed at increasing the availability of novel healthy foods and ingredients in the global food supply.
Prior to joining ADM in 2014, Dr. Rueda worked for the US commodity groups for beans, peas, lentils and chickpeas, where she developed federal research policy initiatives and led national research programs in nutrition, ingredient functionality and agricultural production.
Dr. Rueda holds degrees from the University of Michigan and Wayne State University, where she earned her Ph.D. in Nutrition and Food Science. She is an active member of many professional organizations related to agriculture, food science, nutrition and public policy and has worked extensively in nutrition research, program evaluation and nutrition policy.
Dr. Rueda has given over 150 invited presentations, seminars and keynote addresses around the world and has organized several scientific symposia and workshops.
