ST. PAUL, Minn.—It looks like the New Orleans Saints and Minnesota Vikings will be playing with a full roster into 2009, after Judge Paul Magnuson, U.S. District Court, District of Minnesota, issued a ruling extending the injunction blocking NFL’s suspension of five players pending a full hearing on the situation. The players were originally suspended for violation of the NFL’s banned substances policy after testing positive for a diuretic; the blame has been laid on ingestion of a dietary supplement, Starcaps. Balanced Health Products, maker of the product, is in turn pointing fingers at its raw material supplier in Peru, as it extended its product recall for the adulteration.
