Plum Organics Announces Recall Over Packaging Defect

WASHINGTONPlum Organics is recalling pouch products within its Baby Stage 2, Tots Mish Mash and Kids lines after discovering a manufacturing defect that may cause spoilage in some pouches, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced.

The recall involves a total of 28 varieties of Plum Organics Baby Stage 2, Tots Mish Mash and Kids pouch products with best by" dates ranging from Aug. 5, 2014 to Dec. 8, 2014 and the letters AT." Potential spoilage may cause some pouches to swell. Plum Organics is removing all pouches with affected codes from retail and asking consumers not to consume the products. The company also is offering replacement vouchers.
